La dinastía XXVIII de Egipto trancurre del año 404 al 399 a. C.
Esta dinastía tuvo un solo gobernante, Amirteo (Amirtaeus), que era descendiente de los reyes saitas de la dinastía XXVI. Amirteo dirigió una rebelión contra Artajerjes II, triunfante en parte de Egipto, aunque no llegó a controlar mucho territorio. Se conoce muy poco de su reinado, que duró seis años,[1] y no se han encontrado monumentos de su época. Su muerte se registra en el papiro Arameo de Brooklyn.
Junto con las dinastías XXVI, XXVII, XXIX, XXX y XXXI constituye el periodo tardío de Egipto.

The Twenty-Eighth Dynasty is often combined with other groupings of rulers of ancient Egypt under the title, Late Period. These other groupings include the Twenty-Sixth, Twenty-Seventh, Twenty-Ninth, Thirtieth, and Thirty-First dynasties. [edit] RulersThe Twenty-Eighth Dynasty of Egypt had one ruler, Amyrtaeus, who was a descendant of the Saite kings of the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty, and led a successful revolt against the Persians on the death of Darius II. No monuments of his reign have been found, and little is known of his reign.
